Where Every Hill Journey Feels Like Home

Nature Walks & Forest Trails

The hills around Rishop, Lava, and Sittong are laced with walking trails that take you deep into rhododendron forests, oak groves, and bamboo thickets. No guide required — just good shoes, a curious mind, and a willingness to slow down. These walks are gentle enough for families yet rewarding enough for seasoned trekkers.

Viewpoint Sunrise Visits

There is nothing quite like watching the first light of morning touch the snow peaks of Kanchenjunga. Our itineraries are timed to make sure you catch the sunrise from Rishop, Dubling, or Simana Viewpoint — depending on your package. Bring a warm jacket and a fully charged camera.

Waterfall Exploration

Kolakham Waterfalls and the falls at Lamahatta are not just photo stops — they are experiences. The trek to reach them, the sound that builds as you get closer, and the cool mist that hits you at the viewpoint make these among the most memorable moments of any North Bengal tour.

Lake Visits & Lakeside Walks

From the serene Nokdara Lake and the mirror-still Mulkharka Lake to the popular Mirik Lake with its pedestrian bridge — every lake on our routes offers a different mood and a different kind of peace. Morning visits are especially magical when the water reflects the surrounding hills.

Village Walks & Local Life

Some of the most meaningful moments on a hill trip happen not at a viewpoint but on a quiet lane in Sittong or Dawaipani — watching a farmer tend to his terrace fields, buying fresh oranges straight from the orchard, or simply sharing a cup of tea with a local family. We encourage our travellers to step off the tourist trail and into real life.

Bird Watching

The forests of Lava and Sittong are among the finest bird-watching destinations in Northeast India. Over 200 species of birds have been recorded in this region, including the rare Rufous-necked Hornbill and various species of laughingthrush, sunbird, and flycatcher. Early mornings are the best time, and the experience is equally enjoyable for beginners and serious birders.

Monastery & Heritage Visits

The Lava Monastery is a place of genuine calm and spiritual beauty. Whether you are religious or simply curious, a morning visit here — with butter lamps flickering and prayer flags flying overhead — adds a layer of depth to your hill experience that no viewpoint can match. The heritage Jalsha Bungalow in Kalimpong offers a similarly reflective stop for history lovers.

Photography & Landscape Shooting

Every destination on our routes was practically made for a camera. The layered valleys of Dubling, the meadows of Paparkhety, the orange orchards of Sittong, the fog rolling over Rishop at dusk — each frame is different, each light is extraordinary. Whether you shoot on a phone or carry a full kit, you will not run out of subjects here.

Eco-Park Visits

The eco-park at Lamahatta is beautifully maintained with walking paths, a pond, seating areas, and native plantings throughout. It is a relaxed, family-friendly space that works equally well for a quiet solo morning or a lively group outing.
